Little coffee, a little green tomato plant, and some plum. A really solid Cabernet.

Palate: dry, eucalyptus, soy, juniper, blue berry, long length, balanced, medium+ tannins

Food pairings: seared lamb, venison

Classic Chilean with a Bordeaux style from Chat Lafite

Great Chilean Rothschild. Full bodied and smooth. Nice lasting finish. Mixed berries prominent. Enjoyed it at the Palm in Houston.

This was a little disappointing. It has a watery texture and had an overall young feel. The flavors were so undeveloped that I would never have guessed Cab had I not seen the label. I'm giving it below 8 because I had been told to expect a spectacular wine. It didn't deliver.

No notes taken but I remember this being intense and complex with perfect balance. It creeps up on you and just gets better and better.

Seriously good. Notes of cherry, black peppered brownie and cut cedar. Elegant, dark and classy. Fantastic.
