This wine is delicious - pale lemon with a green tinge, 8%abv, medium sweet without being cloying thanks to abundant acidity. Lovely aroma of crushed stone, Mirabelle plums, lemon, lime, white peach, even a hint of pineapple along with honeysuckle and acacia. All the aroma are reflected on the palate with only the barest hint of petrol. Very long on the finish. It’s yours and closed now but in three or four years I’ll line up to get a glass of this.

Not only more acidic than the Wehlener Sonnenuhr of the same vineyard but more complex in the acidity itself and the range of flavors; ripe yellow apple, slightly underripe pear, a little lemon, peach and nectarine, mostly all fresh fruit characteristics and not the same candied aspect of the WS. Very good and with the acidity where it still is could go years longer in the bottle

Marzipan and key lime notes emerge from the glass. Color is straw gold. Viscous and somewhat sweet with a slight effervescence. Almond paste, lime, green apple and rhubarb on the palate. Finish is fairly long. Perfect with sushi tonight.
