La Pialade de Rayas Côtes du Rhône Red Rhône Blend
Côtes du Rhône, Southern Rhône, Rhône, France
Absolutely smoking tonight. Impossible complexity, and that's not just for a Cotes du Rhone. Savory and sweet simultaneously with ringing acidity and a gentle flow. Went beautifully alongside swordfish and blood oranges.

Haunting. Low power, high complexity & expression. Crushed red fruit, rose aromatics with lots of savory, garrigue, spice through a lovely detailed palate. Easy to overlook, impossible to forget.

Feel'en like fall, feel'en like an easy drinking LA PIALADE. I have a freakish love affair with Rayas and this scratches the itch every once in a while.
