Les Pommiers Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

$38 Big nose. Notes of strawberry, blackberry, black cherry, cinnamon, and baking spice on the nose. High acid. Medium tannins. Medium alcohol. Off-Dry. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, red berries and gummy candy. Very fruit forward. This wine would benefit from aging. It has a medium to strong tang to start, but mellows after sitting. It's got a rich fruit flavor that grows in complexity. A very nice Pinot.

Very good standard. Drinking nicely.

Very reliable Pinot. Earthy and a bit fruity. Needs to sit after poured. A bit effervescent. Would be interesting to age but very drinkable now.

Continues to be a solid Pinot. Earthy with some fruit but not over powering.

Quickly turning into a go to Pinot. Very deep and earthy and balanced. Nice for a night when you want a cab but maybe something lighter.

Strawberry, cherry, tarragon on the nose. Heat masked by nice acidity, mid palate has soft oak & tannins. Slightly sweet cranberry/tart cherry. Tasty!

Continues to be an excellent staple. Very balanced. Lots of complexity but smooth. Not overly fruity. Earthy.

Candied cherry aromas. More cherry, strawberry, tart cranberry, and subtle mint notes. I enjoyed this but kelly did not. The higher acidity and tart cherry/cranberry flavors she did not like.

Continues to be enjoyable and becoming a staple. Fruity and a little earthy. Very pleasant.
