Sessantanni Old Vines Primitivo di Manduria


A bit of a disappointment, having seen thousands of glowing reviews for this wine on Vivino - both critics and users alike. Primitivo, grown in the heat of Puglia in southern Italy, will never pretend to have the complexity of its cooler-climate contemporaries, but even by Primitivo’s standards this was overbearingly sweet and jammy, with little else to redeem itself. The mouthfeel was fairly one-dimensional; the finish did have some length and savoury quality, but not enough.
I have another bottle, which I’ll forget about for five or so years and see how it is then.

O bouquet já prometia uma experiência diferente e, quando chegou na boca, MEEEEEEU DEUS, que delicia!!!!😋 É aquele vinho que você guarda para o final da festa e termina com chave de ouro. Não é um vinho gastronômico e sim, como diria o sommelier, um vinho reflexivo pós refeições
