A bit one dimensional. But not as disappointing as the first time I tried the 12 vintage. Decent table wine.

Known name to, oh everyone? This “claret” is distinctly California but not in a way to make me run to Bordeaux. More or less it is yummy wine and sometimes that is what you want. Rich blackberries, vanilla and a smidge of clove. Eat (drink) it up.

Nice and jammy on the nose, almost bready in the yeasty smell upon uncorking. Just enough tannin to balance out the ripe fruit flavor. Not too dry with a medium finish.

Greetings from Austin. You can buy wine in grocery stores here! Also some cactus will spit stickers at you and you didn’t even touch it- then you need to use a magnifying glass and tweezers to get it out. Jerks. One is still in there...
