Drank in Rome in CiPasso. Beautifully balanced and paired with pasta!

Dark cherries, plum and liquorice. Medium bodied, medium acidity, round tannins with a long finish . Still abit closed... Should open up really nicely in a few year’s time!

Wanted more body and depth. Bought at Enoteca for ¥4,800.

I must admit, I expected more from this wine. This is Gaja, the producer of outstanding brunello. But it's very good, at least. A cherry, smoke and leather. Spicy but short finish. Medium acidity.
