Good stuff. Deep fruit- plum, blackcurrant, smoke, tobacco. Great mouthfeel and intensity. Not hugely complex

Dark black currant fruit, dried herbs, tobacco, minerals and licorice. Great fruit. Relatively simple but delicious.

It's been a number of years since last tasting the '06 Vajra #freisa Kye, and tonight's bottle proved that it was worth the wait. The nose showed a complex mix of dark chocolate, cinnamon, sandalwood, roasted plum, black cherry, blackberry, pine and exotic savory spice. On the palate I found silky textures contrasted by grippy sweet tannin and brisk acidity, with notes of tart cherry, savory herbs, crunchy minerality, ann a hint of spiced orange. It finished incredibly long, with tarry black fruit, saturating half resolved tannins and a hint of bitter herbs. I feel as if this is only a year or two outside of its optimal drinking window and then--watch out.
