Gouleyant Cahors Malbec

Honestly enjoyable more as it opens. Decent value

Very green, needs time...which is saying a lot considering it's a $12 bottle. I think it will improve.

Damp, musty, earthy, with lilac notes. One of the least pleasant Malbecs had in a really long time.

Rich and tasty, could have more structure. Steak and artichoke.

Different from argentinian malbec. It’s jammy but a bit dryer. Tobacco, dark chocolate on the palate

Some decanting wouldve helped. Will try again

Okay Malbec - a little fruity. Finished the rest of the bottle as a start to my bday celebration with homemade pizza though, so obviously good enough :)

If ted Cruz was a wine this would be it. Overbearing without tact or complexity.

I was really hoping this would open up into something more balanced, but it just stayed loud and annoying. Very fruit forward and metallic in the mouth, then opened up to be dry, tannic and unoriginal. No thanks.

The opposite of a generic fruit bomb red. Far from perfect but so much its own wine, I have to admire the attempt. I quite enjoyed this. This vintage definitely avoided the "candied" flavor another reviewer commented on from an earlier iteration.
