Giovanni Rosso
Serralunga d'Alba Barolo Nebbiolo
Barolo, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyBright garnet color with a small ruby core. Aromas of red berries, menthol, tar, violets and wet stones. Flavors of ripe red cherries and strawberries, Asian spices and mint. Long and mineral-laden finish. Well balanced with vibrant acidity and fine grained tannins. Nicely structured and hitting its peak. Quite vibrant and elegant. Good value Barolo. Solid producer.

Feb 25th, 2026Really a quite nice Barolo from a producer I hadn’t had before. Quite accessible at this stage - not at all over oaked or anything - but still in a “more modern” style. Some nice delicacy in the glass - the fruit, earth, and acid all expressing well.

Apr 19th, 2024Enjoyed this wine with a wonderful dinner of eggplant stuffed ravioli and fillet mignon in Noci, Italy. Garnett color with cocoa, raspberry and plum on the nose and palate and hints of black pepper on the finish. Elegant and lovely.
