2014 Hammell Wine Alliance El Crüe Rose’. Along with SQN, the only Rose' I always decant. Three hours in the big glass vessel. Definitely not your Grand Dad's Rose'. 15.5% alcohol. Huge, full throttle style, but done with finesse. The bright red color of a red cream soda. Fresh cut flowers and strawberries on the nose. A guava-papaya-raspberry smoothie on the palate. You'll be hard-pressed to find a lengthier finish on a Rose'. I vaguely remember Mr Hammell suggesting drinking as opposed to holding, but this wine probably has some longevity based on tonight's performance. If you haven't sought out Mr Hammell's wines up to now, I strongly suggest you jump on the train before it departs the station. This guy is good. @Hammell

My first Hammell. Not only nice and tart with strawberry and watermelon, but also had some body to it. Like a light beaujolais nouveau. Glad to see I am not the only one who thought this is a 9.3 Rose. 15.5 ABV!!!!!!

Great floral nose. Fresh cut grass. Strawberries. Good balance and nice finish.

What a great rose. Ripe strawberries and freshly cut flowers. It's big and complex but nicely balanced and held together. Can't wait for the next batch @Hammell

Probably the best Rosé' I've tasted this summer (please note that I've not tasted "and An Eight Track"). Suggest a couple hour decant. Give it a chance to breathe. Big, full throttle style, but with great finesse. I love this wine. Kudos Chris Hammell
