A family-owned winery founded in 1973 when Joe Phelps purchased a former cattle ranch near St. Helena in the Napa Valley, the winery now farms about 375 acres of vines on 8 estate vineyards. Beautiful aromas of ripe stone fruits, citrus and honey. On the palate crisp ripe apple and pear flavors with lemon zest nicely balanced acidity. Lingering finish ending with creamy oak.

It's a lot of green apple, lemon, lime, butter & buttered popcorn, overripe pineapple, honey, a little too high on the acid, good chalk & minerality. It also handled the brine in the turkey just as well I thought it would.

Classic California style. Nice wine, maybe a little too buttery for my tastes, but still definitely enjoyable. It's a well made wine.

Lightweight and easy to enjoy. None of that heavy oakiness that is so prevalent in many California Chardonnays.

This coastal Chardonnay is light, clean and crisp with a touch of a mineral taste. Wonderful bouquet a perfect compliment to shrimp Scampi on a creamy Leak. Enjoy.
