Bigger than most Rhônes that I meet. Then again, Gigondas isn't a wine that I meet very often. I could see serving this in lieu of many an Aussie GSM.

1996 Vintage. More than mature but fantastic. Mocha, dark cherry, still some grape tannin left, great acidity. Pleasantly surprised.
