Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend

Rich and fruity right off the bat but dry herbs and flowers appear after giving it a few whirls. There is a clear sweetness to the wine and some alcohol heat. The fruit is dark and warm.

Entry level but lively! Jammy, peppery, Christmas spices, cinnamon, leather, toasted notes, elegant, sapid, warm yet smooth.

Classic amarone and really pleasant for a nightcap

Very nice amarone but not quite the deep raisin notes we were expecting. Had in Boothbay Harbor

Good w steak.

Fruity, rich character, classic Amarone

Light for an Amarone, but still rich and full bodied. Grape, prune, something savory. Varieties: Corvina and Rondinella.

Always loved the Amarones from Masi. This was the star of our small pan-Italian tasting.
