Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

In Magnum, 13.1% abv, red berries / a bit lacking structure.

It’s pretty rare to find a Napa cab at 13.1% abv a very balanced wine, with dark fruit and good acidity. Good structure and approachable.

This was really good and likely drinking at its apex. Dark, candied cherries, leather, and caramel dominate the nose and palate. Tannins and alcohol present but well integrated. Medium plus depth.

light in alcohol, 13.1% , for a cab but well balanced in flavor, dark cherries, blueberries and very smooth.

Always solid. More red fruited than blue/black fruit. Restrained and a bit on the lean/acidic side for a 2014 Napa Cab, which is what I expect from Matthiasson. A pleasure.

Nariz: Arandano, mora, ciruela, cassis, vainilla, un toque de regaliz.

Boca: Seco, Tanino M/ M+ sedosos, Acidez M, Alcohol M.

Very elegant. I want more of this. Graphite and dark fruit. Fantastic with burgers after a couple hours in a decanter.

Finished in one night after dinner. Tasted great in her mouth too 💋

Such a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon. All others should bow down and learn such balanced velvety restraint.
