Superb. Fresh and full-flavored, with crackling crispness.

Wasn’t planning to open this tonight but after the first wine I tried was corked, this was up next. Paired with some very tasty chicken thighs off the grill. This is good but not at the same level as some of the previous bottlings I’ve had - including both the same and different vintages. 13.6%, much appreciated, and a nice more refined take on a left bank Bordeaux style blend from Napa. Good acid, but the palate is a bit leathery and isn’t giving much fruit.

PnP. Seemed to be in a weird state. Not bad, just lacked umph and flavors were more stewed than refined.

PnP. Cedar, plums, prunes, and cherries on the nose and palate. Probably slightly past prime. Nice depth and solid finish.

1hr+ decant. For some reason I want to say this wine is juicy. Dark red wine with translucent edges. Wood, cherries, and subtle manure on the nose. Juicy with more wood on the palate with some sweetness. Medium finish and depth. Unique wine that is very enjoyable.

Quite delicious, but needs a 2+ hour decant even at 10+ years (plus lots of sediment so the decant is necessary anyway). Great pairing with an Easter roast beef and mushrooms. Nice darker fruit. Tannins still quite there - could take another ~5 years. Nice acid on the finish and always appreciate the < 14% abv.

Nice age on this red Bordeaux blend done in Steve Metthiasson’s signature old world bright acid style. Just beginning to show notes of pomegranate and plum. Cheers.
