Les Grands Vergers Arbois Trousseau

A bit too bretty for me to get past, though there's something appealing lurking beneath it all. Too bad.

Appealing tart fruit and spice. Really evolving in the glass

Very unusual smoky, meaty and floral character.
Palate is very fine, balanced with elegant red fruits and a silky finish

Though I usually find Trousseau somewhat delicate (and this one is, too), I wish I had decanted this. The bottom half of the bottle was 2x as expressive as the top!

I usually love this but it just wasn't showing its best last night.
