This wine did well with a little bit of air. It was a little bit dark and mysterious before it had a chance to open. More of a tobacco and muted figs. Seemed to get more youthful and more fruit forward and more peppery on the finish as the hours went on. Started showing a cinnamon spice cookie note in addition to all the black fruit backbone. This is my first experience with this wine and hopefully won't be last.

Beautiful. Jammy dark cherry and pipe tobacco flavors coat the tongue. The finish has a smooth, chocolate quality to it. Beautiful.

Full bodied, weighty, and jammy, with blueberry pie, plum, and Christmas spice flavors. Saying this has a velvety texture does not do it enough justice. Massive, but elegant and luxurious. Paired wonderfully with a fatty burger and arugula salad.
