A real Italian wine. Authentic aromas, acidities and tannins. Fuller than usual and not overripe. Very good rather than excellent because the aromatic range can be little wider, the structure can be little tighter and the fruit can be little purer, little more intense and more transparent. Just little short on polish and refinement.

Nose seems sweeter than palate. Dark cherry, plum, some leather and tobacco. Very fine and dusty tannins. From rather warm and ripe year and it shows but positively. More dark notes and body but still enough acidity and structure. Nice tangy clang at the end. Should evolve nicely for 2-3 years. Great qpr!
