I loved 3-4 bottles of this wine a few years back so bought a case to enjoy for a while. I didn’t rate the last bottle that had similar results thinking it was bottle variation but this is now the second bottle that has been disjointed. Hot alcohol, fruit and acid hitting at all the wrong notes. Worried this is aging poorly…

This was the better of the two for both of us. Very pretty nose; floral, cedar, red fruit. Raspberries and chocolate with drying tannins to finish. The tannin is a bit out of balance. Can’t wait for these to resolve. What do you think? 4 years to wait? Self don’t try again until 2024. Good talk.

Quickly, while at dinner so I don’t get yelled at. Nose is floral, perfume, something herbal, and cherry. Palate chocolate covered cherries. Super well balanced. A little more tannic pinch than perfect balance, but with time... this is only 2016. I agree with you @Rob Brobst III ! This is awesome!

Put it this way: well over 50% as good as the first wine (which is a favorite) for a lot less than 50% the price.

Soft smooth tannins, lush ripe black and red fruits, earthy finish. Delicious!

Full body yet smooth.

Tobacco leaf and leather on nose, full bodied and dry. Balanced, long finish. Nice.
