It had some expected aged notes but in good shape. Not sure if Shiraz it the variety to age. But.... what do I know?

Lovely red fruit aromas of currant. Some Liquorice savouriness. From the excellent 1998 vintage and drinking at its peak but will go on for another 5 years at least. Love the fact that St Henri sees no new oak and made more in the old school European way using large format Old Oak casks. I generally buy a half dozen each year.

Oh this is aging beautifully. Almost 20 years old but still has a long life.
