Rubber. Lanolin. Anise. Good. One word from each of us tasting tonight.

Medium garnet to ruby red. A touch savory, meaty, minerality and red berries on the nose. Moderate plus tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Dry and similar notes on the palate. Dry long and lingering finish. Drink till 2021.

No legs or body. It wasn’t an expressive nose.

Semi full. More acidic

Plum pudding. Chalky and dry. Spice and floral notes. Great structure and finesse.

Solid southern Rhone. Texture built around earthy and spicy notes.

Great rich but less strong than similarly rated wines.
