Apologies for the soiled label. Pale Ruby with a tawny edge - almost transparent. Dusty earthy mushroom aromas. Oak is absorbed and so are the tannins. Barely medium weight, elegant in fact. Interesting for a Barolo / cherry notes on palate. Perfect to accompany food - in this case home made pizza. One of the lightest Barolos I’ve ever tried but very enjoyable.

Starting to sing, with black cherry (dried and fresh), dried rose, tar, black truffle, toast, licorice, cocoa, leather, mint, and blood orange. Attractively ripe and deeply extracted, but hews to the traditional style with gripping tannin and no obvious new oak. A wine of high density, length, and complexity, in its early stages of development.

Wow. Tis a baby, but it has presence! Concentrated herbs and fruit, tobacco and subtle florals. Sexy as hell tannins, tension and structure. It's lingering finish is power and elegance. It's a beautiful thing.

Solid QPR Barolo from Costco, especially for the terrific 2010 vintage. Smooth and integrated, nothing overly pronounced.

A very young wine indeed. Hints of leather and spice. Long finish. Good concentration of fruit. A few more years will do much for this wine.

On the riper, fruitier side. Weirdly approachable. Some oak comes through. Dense. Plush? Really pretty. Black cherry and cola.
