Purple red. Cherry, raspberry, cassis, prune and floral notes in nose. Tart cherry and fruit leather notes in mouth with moderate bitterness, skin tannin astringency on front of tongue in finish. Aromas show quickly but flavors need time to open. After 90 minutes, sour plum with length in mouth, coffee finish. Excellent value if you have the patience for it to open up.
