Deep dark cherry color moderately translucent. Nose is powerful rich black cherry Pinot. In the mouth rich intense flavors of Pinot. Very reminiscent of a great Pommard except flavors are richer and less tannic. This is like the great Cote des Braine whereas Sonoma Pinot noir is more like Cote des Nuit.

Nose still has some fruit of youth, through it has darkened from what it likely was and is showing funk too. Beautiful, enveloping, alluring. Palette is quite tertiary and with dried fruits, baking spices, herbs. Bright med+ acid. This needed some air to waken.
