Feb 1st, 2019From a #375 Dense fruit and very pretty. There was an intoxicating but odd just ripening banana aroma on the nose. The tannin level was medium and the alcohol was restrained. Great complexity and length. #barolo #roagna #piedtmont #nebbiolo #italy #ctbucklinwine

The highly expressive nose showed red floral perfumes and sweet spice along with fresh cherry, mint, and crushed stone minerality. It displayed silky tannins on a feminine frame with ripe, pure cherry fruit, cinnamon, clove, and hints of leather. Dried cherry and inner floral tones lingered long on the finish, which revealed a bit of its tannic grip, yet this is pure elegance in a glass.
