Private Selection Aged in Bourbon Barrels Monterey County Cabernet Sauvignon

Great and hard to find at times...

Definitely had a Bourbon thing going on. Not my style.

Stewed cassis and plum on the nose gave me high hopes, but dreadfully disjointed in flavor. Finished with a bitter, burned leather quality that made it undrinkable for me.

Paired with garlic steak with mushrooms and string onions. Paired very well. Nice September evening outside on the deck.

Ages well- very fruit forward and lush. Strong oak

The bourbon finish never disappoints. Very smooth. 

Waaaay too much vanilla.
Doesn’t even taste like wine

A couple of months in a bourbon barrel and you get some fantastic flavor and enjoyment. Really good!
