Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Thought there was a chance this one was corked… turned out solid. Deep ruby color. Aromas of leather, blackberry and earthy mushroom. Hanging in there with some solid licorice, baked berry and oaky finish.

Very special old magnum. Tobacco and earth. The color was off. Very delicate. Improved with time.

Still quite alive. Cork disintegrated and wine was originally a touch bricking but picked up color as it opened.

Held up extraordinarily well. The fruit and tannins are still there but not overpowering. It has grown to be a softer and more elegant wine today. It is 100% cab grapes but has the texture of a French Bordeaux.
