Amador County Chenin Blanc

Just delicious. Bloomed with air and even better on day 2-3.
Medium yellow/hints of gold. Yellow apple, floral/pollen, melon, not waxy but a bit honeyed w/ age. Impeccably balanced.

Still quite youthful.

Bottle opened Sunday evening by my wife, ⅔ left in frig until I got home Thursday night. Air helps this wine when it's young, so it was in a great spot. Textured and savory, with acid and minerality to balance.

Mellowing nicely into honeyed lemon and quince paste pleasure.

First wine from Amador. Not the acid & minerality of Loire Chenin but lovely & tasty food pairing.

Favorite domestic Chenin
