From a 5 Bordeaux grape blend: 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12.6% Merlot, 3.6% Cabernet Franc, 2.4% Petit Verdot & 0.4% Malbec, aged 24 months French oak, 84% new, Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe dark fruits, cedar and floral spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, ripe cherry and currants with notes of mushroom, herbs, pepper spice and earthy notes. Fine big sweet soft tannins, long finish ending with cacao, smoky oak, fruit and mineral tang. Very nice, aging well, but time will reward!

Well, this is my last 2015 and after 11 years it’s close to perfection. Ruby with aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, cedar, and chocolate. On the bud, it smooth, rich, and a long finish. Stewed fruit and a spice note tease the palate. Great with my 40 day aged Ribeye and Red Potatoes.

Perfect pairing with a Prime ribeye 🤤 blackberry, some toasted coconut, and oak notes. Bold and tannic. Lasting finish. This is great stuff and a fantastic vintage. Happy Valentine’s Day, wineos!!

I feel very fortunate to have this wine on my birthday. So many of our wine memories include Silver Oak. Wonderful to enjoy a bottle with a hint of age on it.
