Dec 23rd, 2021Oh my. This wine is unbelievable. Rich nose of chocolate, cherry cordial, cola, raspberry purée, cocoa, smoke, oak, leather, fennel, oregano, grape juice... you name it, it’s there. Bold & brooding on the palate. Leathery notes of cigar smoke, tar, wet cigarettes, dark cocoa powder, chocolate-dipped raspberry, blueberry, red currant, & cassis. Grippy & lightly tart with medium-plus acidity. Alcohol hides well under all this fruit. Another stellar David Phinney release.
