Quite closed after hr long decant. over the course of dinner (2hrs+) opened up nicely...rose-y, tart cherry, saddle leather.

More evidence of the quality of the 2004 Piedmont vintage. Textbook stuff, with some years left in it. Just incredible with chanterelles sautéed in butter, shallot and saffron.
