Call this one the pleasant surprise of the year! Wow! Doing some research I see that this DOC, Bierza is near the NE corner of Portugal. Think super earthy merlot. Supple and smooth body with beautiful earthy mushroomy bret type nuance. 100% Mencia grape. I never knew, now I do!
