Dec 19th, 2019Always solid, but unfortunately the price has inflated massively since we visited years ago. Decanted 30+ minutes. Wine has dark cherry and tar. Medium plus finish. Enjoyed it but it’s getting past prime drinking age.

Aug 21st, 2019Was great years ago and is still going strong. Has a few more years left in it. PnP! Deep purple color. Actually some nice terroir on the nose, which is nice to see from a Cali wine at this price point. Dark cherry and tar on the palate. Very refined and goes down like velvet. Could drink this all day long. Medium+ finish.

Nov 22nd, 201824hrs later...the alcohol is tamer but the quality has deteriorated modestly. Seems like it needs air but can't sustain for longer periods.

Dec 10th, 2017Give this a lot of air, at least 2+ hours. Tar, dark cherry, and modest hints of cocoa and coffee on the nose. Rustic tones with cherry on the palate. The OH is high and you can feel it, but it isn't obtrusive. Decent finish with spice and a little bite from the alcohol.

Feb 2nd, 2016An oldie but a goodie!! Velvety with Blackberry and cherry flavors. Reminds me of our Napa trip this year! Nice nose and solid finish. Goes great with grass fed humboldt fog, grass fed pork belly, and grass fed hanger steak;)....
