big petrol right out of the gate - greenish shimmering hued, then all kinds of lanolin, herbal & gooseberry - SB notes, also some orchard fruit, but fairly austere overall. Palate was lean angular razor sharp even at this age and we let it warm up too. Bone dry, racy acidity, mouth puckering finish... Wifey liked it, I didn't but could appreciate it for what it is.
