Wildhorse Winery & Vineyards
Central Coast Pinot Noir
Central Coast, California, USA
Smell and taste start off almost astringent and acidic but the flavors mellow quickly and become more balanced with sweet berry notes. Surprisingly versatile: paired well as a sipping wine with salty chips, deviled eggs, cheddar and apples, and even dark chocolate and vanilla shortbread. I guess you could say it’s a snacking wine!

Jul 30th, 2016Suspiciously deep colour for a Pinot Noir. Straightforward fruit flavour minimal elements of spice. Definitely drinkable but ordinary. Probably won't buy again.

Hood Pinot. Pleasant engagement at the nose. Potentially a little acidic. Good wine to anticipate the downside of the week with not too heavy a dinner.
