Winnica Jakubów
Yacobus Orange
Poland

This is the second time that I try this polish orange wine. In summary: I like it. The nose shows orange, orange peel, peach, along with a salty, umami thing that lingers in the background. The palate shows great acid drive, orange peel notes, salty notes all along, some tannic grip in the rear, before a finish that goes on for a while with some orange and salty caramel notes.
Riesling, Hibernal, Solaris and Gewürztraminer blend.

Orange wine from Poland, why not?
The wine is orangey, a tiny bit turbid, as if not filtered.
The nose is lychee, tangerine, tangerine zest, a bit of chalk too. Clearly the nose is extremely promising. The palate is a bit underwhelming though. There are some tangerine notes all along, a rather shy acid drive, some width, some carressing tannins in the rear, before a tannic, tangerine zest forward finish that is arguably coming down quite quickly. Orange wine from Poland including, I reckon, a share of gewurtztraminer. Not bad
