Purposefully underripe. Even with significant air, did not have any real aromatic complexity. Dominated by acid and yet bereft of balancing fruit. Have had many good Zepaltas wines but this one was not pleasant to me, and I count myself in the AFWE crowd...

Aug 10th, 2017Very ripe red raspberry and wood. Youngin and needed at least 4 hours to open up. Some gooseberry tartiness, red apple skin, menthol, tannin, and rich mouthfeel.
