Tasted this 2023 without food and liked it but had trouble with its acidity and austerity. Then later had it with a Lasagna and it was perfect. The acidity mellowed with aeration and its delicate herbal qualities came through. Light bodied ruby colored, — 19 days ago
Had this at a forgotten bottle in your cellar party and it was like visiting an elegant mountain resort that has not been taken over by a corporation. Old fading elegance — 22 days ago
Directly from South Africa from Julia. Deep kitsch cherry fruit with a grilled meat aroma. Nothing delicate here. Plums 5 spice, hint of orange. Will stand up to big meats. — 7 days ago
This 1970 Bordeaux has no business being what it has become. Like a late harvest or better yet a fortified oxidized wine with a molasses color and initial texture that then thins out. All grapes seem to be going to Mecca at their own humble pace — 22 days ago
Had zero expectations for this wine at a party featuring lost bottles from your cellar. It was like a raspberry preserve that you canned 10 years ago and still has the essence of that years growing season. An unexpected joy. — 22 days ago
This 2024 got lost in a bigger tasting. Now on its own at home it’s showing its subtle springtime beauty. First of the year wild strawberries sprinkled with dried herbs. And a dash of black pepper. Very picnic food friendly. — 9 days ago

Bought this 2020 cru at $50. While in Cleveland. Was assured it was worth every penny it and it is outstanding. Crushed dark fruits including fig with spices. Juniper, pine, camphor oil, leather and bitter orange peel. Truly one of the biggest and most complex Moulin a Vents I’ve ever had. A wintry wine for roasted foods. Has easily another 5 years ahead of it. — 2 months ago

Julia brought right from this gorgeous vineyard. Ultra elegant stony lean restrained and nervous with lengthy underripe stone fruits and white pepper. Perfect with Camembert. — 7 days ago
