So so good! Amazingly smooth finish for a Malbec, I was genuinely surprised. Oak and a touch of smoke coated what could only be described as a basket of dark late-July berries. It's at Trader Joe's now for $9 so pick up a few bottles to have with a nice Ribeye and some broccoli. — 9 years ago

I had this as a table wine and it went over well. Once you let it get some air it's surprising smooth. I had another glass after work the next day and I found it even better, but for $7 can any of us really complain? — 9 years ago

Very tannic, yet sweet. There is a very...beefy mouth feel that yields to late summer raspberries. I'll be coming home to this after work this week with open arms...and a ribeye. — 9 years ago

Eh. It was on sale at Fresh Market what can I say? It honestly wasn't terrible. You get this almost buttery Granny Smith apple pie vibe that coats your whole mouth which is really pleasant until it sharply fades into pure alcohol. It's a real shame because for the first 3 seconds this wine has a lot going for it. — 9 years ago

So I got caught up in the review of this wine I forgot I was searching for a Malbec. My first impressions reflected that. I find it hard to describe this in wine terms because honestly I've had fruit juices with more complexity. Be that as it may after a good chill and a second glass I grew fond of this little naturally carbonated gem. The residual sugars are really strong. If you or a friend doesn't like the body of most Reds this is a good introduction...although so is Welch's grape juice. Also at 5% this isn't a showstopper so go search for your thrills elsewhere. — 9 years ago
