Drank this a few weeks ago over a couple of nights and it was delicious. No detailed notes, but I would happily drink it again. — 18 days ago

Impressive volume of fruit that’s developed from this one. Nicely balanced and full, with a mix of red fruits, berries, florals and just enough texture to keep things interesting. Still plenty of life ahead of it, too. — 3 years ago

Bit of a change of gear following the Wendouree shiraz. Probably still a bit too young, but pretty and with firm texture. Red fruits and florals. I’d give it a few years and a lot more time to breathe. — 3 years ago

Simple and delightful enjoyment. Soft and approachable Bordeaux blend that goes beautifully with red meat. Drinking well right now, offering hedonistic pleasure without too many challenges. Still, best with food. — 3 years ago

Weight and heft! Definitely not shy. The intensity and volume is impressive, although perhaps not immediately approachable. A little stern. Perhaps some more time will see it develop? — 3 years ago

Gorgeous Polish Hill River riesling with a good dose of secondary development. Prominent kerosine and latex notes on the nose, but palate is still bright, sparking fresh citrus. Years ahead of it still. — 3 years ago

Quite juicy, generous and broad for a Chablis, but on the whole an enjoyable drop. — 18 days ago

This was in rude health at 36 years of age. Would have held for at least a decade or two longer. But a wonderful time to be drinking it, with lively fruit and freshness still present along with secondary and tertiary complexities folded in. A gorgeous smooth ride across the palate, with fine and elegant tanning structure, dark fruit, savoury notes of olive tapenade, and a long, lingering finish. Perhaps even more time in decanter would have opened things up even more. — 18 days ago

Gave this a good several hours breathing before dinner, and it’s just starting to unfurl. Still young, but showing why it’s such a revered wine. Plenty of layers beginning to reveal themselves, berries, purple fruit and florals amongst them. Medium bodied and surprisingly soft on the palate, with tannins playing a secondary supporting role. Delicious drinking right now and will be amazing to revisit in years to come. — 3 years ago
