Deep dark ruby in the glass. Fruit forward nose of stewed plum and blackberry with a hint of spice and smoke. The stewed fruits carry onto the pallet with a touch peppery heat. Has a good body and grippy tannins. The wine is quite well balanced but lacks a little acidity and complexity. The finish is shorter than expected. Overall a solid drinking wine. — 4 years ago
