Seems pretty astringent to me, and there isn't much flavour to save it. If you really focus you can pull out hints of cherry and spice, but mostly it just tasted like nail polish remover to me (and that's how it smelled too!) Some of the acidity went away when I are a little salty food with it, but in general I think I prefer a bit sweeter of a wine, and one with darker fruit undertones- like plum or blackberry. It had a somewhat velvety feel, but a bit on the rougher side. — 10 years ago
