Medium gold colour. On the nose apricot, lemon, butter, fresh cream and chalk. As it opens, up hints of mango and pie crust show themselves. Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium (-) alcohol. On the palate, a tropical start transform into apple and lemon zest, then burnt caramel lingers long after swallowing. All this is tied together with sustained saline and gravel minerality. This wine is very complex and long. — 7 years ago

Deep ruby colour with purple hues and a light purple rim.

Medium intensity nose. Full of black fruit with leather, potpourri, and sandalwood. There's a sense of dried fig in the background, showing the age. Slightly animalistic too.

Dry with a hint of some RS, medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol and tannins. Super easy drinking and balanced. Medium (+) length, not lacking complexity. Red currant and tomato come across the palate.

The acidity and mellowness make this great with food.
