Love the bright golden straw color. Immediately after opening the nose was very animalistic. Did a dehydrated cat just pee on the bottle? Nope, okay. Moving on into lemon curd and wet cement. Settles with addition of straw and pear. Silky lemon bars on the mid with stone fruit undertones. I am reading that people are getting rubber on the mid/finish. I can agree. Bright sustained acids with the pear/lemon flavors balanced with the slate/cement minerality nearly clash with it's curd/silky texture but absolutely meld into a rad wine that makes me hungry for spicy ramen or miso cod. I'd take some calabrese salumi and stilton too. — 9 years ago
