Great bargain in sparkling wine from the Bourgogne (Burgundy) region of France. It uses the same fermentation method as Champagne and has nice soft bubbles. . Not too tart or sweet. Lovely to sip. — a month ago
Lucious Napa red blend that is over the top. Unsure of which grapes were used, but the current vintage has Cab, Malbec, Petite Verdot and Syrah. Taste some pepper and possibly some Zin in the 2017. At 8 years old it was very smooth and paired wonderfully with red meat, including prime rib. The nose was such that it required multiple sniffs. Very flavorful wine. A bit disappointing because of an aftertaste. Otherwise ok as a Chardonnay that pairs with poultry and possibly cheeses. Drank in August 2024 — 10 days ago
At 9 years old very smooth and nice taste of cherries. paired well with a filet and a variety of red meats. drank in August 2025. — 19 days ago
Interesting Sauvignon Blanc from the Northern Loire Valley. Vibrant, dry citrus with taste of lemon and grapefruit. Pairs well with poultry and probably excellent with a variety of cheese and apples. Drank in May 2025. — 4 months ago
This is a very traditional Montepulciano D’Abruzzo with a deep ruby color, Medium body and mild tart cherry flavors. Unsure about previous reviews mentioning citrus flavor this wine and others of the same type do not have citrus — 7 months ago
Drank another bottle of the 2021 vintage and it paired even better with Gruyère cheese and chicken sausage with couscous. Drank in in August 2025 — 17 days ago
Wonderful Napa Cab from Patland. At 8 years old needed to breathe a bit. Full bodied, yet very smooth. Paired beautifully with a fillet, but could pair with anything. Lots of dark chocolate on the palate. Drank in July 2025 — a month ago
Lovely wine from the Campania region of Southern Italy made primarily with the Aglianico grape with Cabernet Sauvignon. Fragrant nose and long lingering taste of tart cherry. Pairs well with red sauce pasta, but also hold its own with red meat such as filet Mignon. Drank February 2025. — 6 months ago
