Great wine ! Still lot of fruit and very pleasant. Very nice ageing for a ‘basic’ 15 year old AC. A bit Cote du Rhone flavours, probably due to the very warm vintage. — 8 years ago

It was in amazingly solid shape for a 33-year-old AC Gewurtz. Good light yellow color, super dry, and lots of spicy floral delicate flavors and more at room temp. Bravo. — 8 years ago

Pungent fruity notes with loads of spiciness. Such an incredible nose! Beautiful melange of cherry, raspberry and baking spices. And bam. Fully flavored with loads of fruit, silky smooth, and light and easy finish. Incredibly well balanced and refined. My only complaint, although a small one, is the higher alcohol content is noticable and almost takes away from the elegance of the wine. If the AC were lowered a bit I'd have to say it was a nearly perfect wine. All that said, I have always loved brunellos and this is an amazing example. Definitely recommend! — 3 years ago

Slight oak aroma. Gentle and smooth soon after opening. Enough concentration. Mild tanning, slight acidic and spicy. Black berry and other fruits. 2015 in 2020. A classical Tempranillo from Ribera. Elegant and a bit strict, 2014 from old vines seems still early to drink, could easily wait another couple of years. Offers full nose of black fruit, licorice, jam, touch of steel and coal on the palette. Tannins are plenty and silky. Asks for a good stake! — 8 years ago

Wildcard. Prob my fav cuvée from Julien. Tasted aged even tho it’s a 21. Flowery quality to it, like roses, potpourri.

[2019 Vintage:] “A captivating, translucent ruby red hue. Even on the nose alone, there is already a suggestion of ripeness, yet it is utterly enveloped by fragrance: white flowers, grapefruit, cherry, even stony minerals. Really classy and effusive, replete with sapid pinot-esque flavours of enviable concentration. The vintage is quite magical here: all pure, palate-staining but also inexplicably airy in the mouth. The mouthfeel is silky, culminating in a persistent, gentle and thoroughly sweet-fruited long finish held together by an invisible frame. Like the ethereal cuvée Auguste, trails of crushed flower petals replicate and repeat on the lingering finish.” AC
