Tasted blind. Dark black ruby color. Opaque. Looks as thick as Guinness. Big nose. Notes of blueberries, slate, cool menthol and moist soil. Exotic in the mouth, almost too much. Guessed Northern Rhone. My first bottle by this producer. Will have to learn more about them. — 7 years ago
Bright red fruit with grippy tannins. A surprisingly fresh and light take of this varietal from Napa. — 5 years ago
This is 98% Syrah and the rest Viognier. So think Cote Rotie on steroids. — 8 years ago
On the nose it takes me back to Santa Barbara or pass tasting Syrah. Dark jammy fruit with dirt/forest, tons of baking spice, some wood, coffee grounds, and good tannin. I like this much more than the other reviews, maybe because price being 17 bucks? — 4 years ago
Delicious, full bodied, and complex. Great flavors of oak without overwhelming vanilla, ripe and firm grapes with tannins to keep things balanced. Herb and smoky notes. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Color of dark opaque purple with slight grey note on the rim. Nose of fragrant ripe cherry, raisin, strawberry ice cream, sweet oaky flavor, some violet, and actually some apricot/pear nose. Taste is very dry, with well structured tannins, significant note from tobacco leaves, ripe cherry, dried strawberries, some cocoa, milk chocolate, hint of graphite, and subtle acidity like balsamic vinegar. The flavors are plentiful to enjoy. Aftertaste is long and structured, with tannins slowly wining down and rest of the favors surfacing, tobacco leaves, subtle acidity, milk chocolate all existent. — 8 years ago

A bit too much oak for me but otherwise great. Also drinking much younger than its 21 years — 8 days ago
