This is insane! A DARK garnet color carbonic Lambrusco. Looks like a velvet couch with its subtle effervescence. Huge fruit, baked smoky cherries. Paired with something sweet, transforms into a scotch-like peat fest. Bone dry. Perfect as an after digestif, wether that be Pagiliacci Pizza or Thanksgiving Dinner. — 8 years ago
A perfect pairing with tonight's sausage pizza and lasagna. Took me a minute to figure out who makes this wine, as the producer's name is in the smallest print. Dusty cherries, plums, leather, basil, tea leaves at the end. Fair acidity and a very soft mouthfeel make this chianti a winner.

“Brought” this to the Crew Classé virtual tasting with Antinori’s Renzo Cotarella. So enjoyable to drink this with the wine maker and see inside his thoughts.. in 2020 this is a vibrant gold bombshell from the heavier oaked era.
