Cork survived and bottle was opened at 230 for a 6pm dinner. First pour at 430pm and this wine was showing nicely.

Decisamente un Verdicchio sopra le righe. Il territorio è quello di Matelica, meno famoso ma disseminato di ottime cantine e grandi vini.
Pieno, rotondo, fresco e minerale. Note di caramella all'anice, mou e mandarino. Bocca piena e succosa, un sorso ti appaga per diversi minuti, ma poi ti dice che non basta e ne vuoi ancora, fino a che@la bottiglia nonnsi svuota. Annata 2011 — 10 years ago

Maybe not as rich and voluptuous as some of Brown's other wines (Jones Family, Casa Piena) but beautiful secondary character of dark, damp earth with ripe red & black fruit.
